Saturday's Tournament Win was pretty sweet! A couple of late come-from-behind wins made it sweeter. We all hit, I think almost everyone was over .500 for the tourney and we also drew walks when they were needed. Our speed was also huge as we forced errors and ran on everyone, except when we ran ourselves out of innings (Fesko!!!!). Our outfield outplayed the competition hands down, and teams will now think twice about running on Axxess's LC! We will have everyone's stats posted on our future website shortly.

This week's tourney MVP has to go to Ken Wilder. Other than holding it down at SS with absolute missiles hit at him on small infields and catching Fesko's 100MPH relay throws, he went 16 for 23 with a walk. With an OBP of .708 at the bottom of the order, Ken was BIG, safely flipping the order 7 out of every 10 at bats. Not to mention how many times he did it with 2 outs. Ken also hit a Big Grand slam to help erase a 12 run deficit late in the Longview game.

Honorable mention goes to his brother Dave, who had a shitload of hits, one game with 4 walks (in 4 straight plate appearances), and pitched all 5 games perfectly. Dave may have drawn more walks himself than he gave up to our opponents! Dave also pitched the last 3 games with a busted and bleeding pinky finger, caused by fielding a seed up the middle, which earned him the first Purple Heart award.
